Indoctrination into the MOJO Faith
| True adherence to MOJOISM
requires complete devotion and immersion in all things MOJO. Mental
healthcare professionals refer to this total immersion as indoctrination
(commonly called brainwashing in lay terms). Birth & Marriage The Council of the PAW maintains an extensive database of Ector County birth records to track future converts to MOJOISM. In the case of former MOJO star athletes the Council even tracks marriages and divorces. This vast tracking system allows the Council to discourage potential marriages outside the MOJO Faith. All marriages must ultimately be approved by moojesis-felineous. If a MOJOIAN wishes to marry a person residing in another 5-4A city, they must ask the Ascended Master (coach) to intercede on their behalf and seek pre-approval from moojesis-felineous. Any person who does not receive approval is immediately banished to Midland. Early Adolescence – Flag Football - Pop Warner All humans are born with Free Will and must decide to follow the Black path of MOJOISM of their own accord. Despite careful marriages within the Faith, adolescents must be guided with a tender hand or they may rebel and follow the Light. This stage of indoctrination usually involves participation in flag football as soon as the future MOJOIAN is able to walk. Regardless of the Child's abilities all participants are repeatedly asked if the plan to play for MOJO some day. Junior High School The Ascended Masters (coaches) maintain a secret network of football scouts to track and evaluate the child’s athletic abilities through Elementary and Junior High School. Promising athletes that reside in the wrong high school district are referred to the Council of the PAW for “redistricting.” Rather than change the actual high school district boundaries (which raises too much public attention), “redistricting” by the Council is handled in more subtle ways such as a change of employment or placement of the child with a foster MOJO family. Attendance at the Mojolennium Final immersion and indoctrination in MOJOISM takes place at the Mojolennium (Permian High School). Freshman athletes rarely escape the grasp of the altered states of consciousness evoked by the Mojolennium. Students are introduced to the MOJO Prophecy, the teachings of moojesis-felineous, MOJO chanting and discipleship in the faith of MOJOISM. Upon conversion, students will display their devotion to MOJO by wearing black. In fact, all personal belonging must have the MARK lest they fall prey to the mischievous moojesis-felineous. These physical manifestations of the black arts are supposed to bring metaphysical unity or “oneness” of human beings and football. All individuality, aspirations and goals are discarded in favor of achieving a superior MOJO win-loss record. |
